How Speedly handles technical information, contact messages and privacy choices.

Who is responsible for your information

NetNavi operates Speedly and is responsible for the personal information processed through the service. Privacy enquiries and data-protection rights requests can be sent to hello@speedly.me.

Information we use

When you visit Speedly, the server receives ordinary technical request information such as IP address, request time, browser details and requested page. When you run a speed test, the service processes network measurements and the selected test size so it can provide the requested result, maintain security, investigate faults and prevent abuse.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, those interests are operating a reliable, secure and useful public website. We assess the necessity and impact of that processing and do not use the speed-test result to make automated decisions about you.

Location information

Your browser may offer precise geolocation. The browser asks for permission before that information is accessed. If you decline, Speedly may display an approximate location derived from your public IP address instead. Precise browser coordinates are used to display the result and are not intentionally written to the Speedly visit counter.

Contact messages

If you contact us, we process the name, email address, subject and message you provide so we can respond and manage the enquiry. Contact correspondence is generally retained for up to 24 months after the matter is closed unless there is a legal, security or record-keeping reason to keep it longer.

Sharing and international transfers

Information may be processed by suppliers that provide hosting, email delivery, security or related technical services. Google reCAPTCHA is loaded when you submit the protected contact form to help prevent automated abuse. Third-party suppliers may process information outside the UK; where required, appropriate transfer safeguards should apply.

How long information is kept

Server logs should be kept only for as long as reasonably needed for security, troubleshooting and abuse prevention. The unique-visit counter stores a one-way hash derived from an IP address rather than the plain IP address. Browser consent preferences stay on the device until they are cleared or the consent version changes.

Your UK data-protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, and in some cases to receive portable data. Where processing relies on consent, consent can be withdrawn for future processing. You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

Cookies and similar technologies

Speedly separates essential browser storage from optional analytics or advertising technologies. Optional categories remain disabled until a user makes an affirmative choice. You can revisit your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer. See the Cookie Policy for more detail.

Important

This notice describes the Speedly configuration supplied with this website. NetNavi should keep it under review whenever hosting, analytics, advertising, retention periods or third-party suppliers change.
